Southern Baptists. Largest Protestant group in the US, masters of putting their collective feet in their collective mouths. We've done a lot of good in the world but more recently were best know for those "HOLY CRAP WHAT ARE THOSE PEOPLE THINKING????" moments. This one has actually been brewing awhile and the mainstream media has only recently taken notice. Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary has decided to deny a woman tenure and refuse to renew her contract because ... she's a woman . Just some background for my readers who aren't privy to politics in a church group. Basically its the same as politics in secular circles but with less money and more, dare I say it, dick waving. Specifically the seminaries (there's more than one, Southwestern I believe is the largest) are controlled by the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Well even though my friend Kevin the krod told me I sucked at blogging (which I do, which is why it's the ANTI-blog). I'm going to keep going with this :) Things have been very hectic the last couple of months. I've been working on hard trying to build up clients for my new business and Adam and I released our game which is still big work in progress and takes up lots of time. Plus some other projects I have in the works that I'll be releasing soon. I have some more "Wedge Issues" up my sleeve as well as some discussion of recent events in Baptist circles.
